Geophoton Inc. was founded in 2021 by Benoît St-Onge (Ph.D.), whose expertise in 3D and forestry remote sensing was constantly enriched during his successful academic and business career. Benoît St-Onge is a pioneer of aerial lidar in Canada, having been notably the first to combine lidar and photogrammetry to map the structure of forests or to demonstrate the possibility of identifying tree species using multispectral lidar. He is also co-inventor of two patents for a remote sensing forest management system.

 

Geophoton Inc. hires consultants as needed or enters into partnership with other companies to respond to specific mandates. Its clientele extends from Canada to West Africa.
